Easter Fun!

We had such a fun filled Easter (week) this year. First, Natalie had a preschool Easter party on Thursday where she got to make a fun craft and go on an egg hunt, of course. Then Saturday we had an Easter egg hunt with some fun friends. And of course Sunday the kids got their Easter baskets, but this time they were hidden. Natalie found hers before she was even to the bottom of the stairs from her room in the morning, and Blake found his in the dark because he won't allow me to turn on lights for some reason first thing when he wakes up.

The kids got too spoiled this year. Since they don't eat candy, they tend to get way too many "things". They both got a new hooded towel-Natalie's is a ladybug and Blake's is a tiger. They got new summer jammies and a new swimsuit each. Natalie got the rubber ducky she's been wanting and Blake got sidewalk chalk, and then they got pretty much the only candy that they eat-smarties.

We had a special Easter lesson where the kids learned about Christ's atonement, crucifixion, and resurrection-such big words to a four year old, but I think Natalie now knows the meaning of them. How sweet it is to know that through our Savior, we too can live again with our families forever! I can't imagine an eternity without my loves.

Me with the cute kiddos on Easter Sunday.

Natalie's new ladybug towel.

This is where she found her basket-only it was under the table all the way and the chairs were all around hiding it. This girl can never seem to find anything when I need her to, so now I know she can if she wants to.

This is where Blake's basket was, only he found it in the dark. He said "Tiger!" while we were sitting on the other couch in the dark and immediately went over to see what it was. He was so excited about his Thomas the Train swimsuit.

The loot.

Our egg hunt with friends on Saturday.

Natalie meant business.

Blake leisurely walked around gathering whatever was in his path.

The crew before the hunt.

This was at Natalie's preschool egg hunt at Jayden's house.

The fun Easter craft made by Natalie (and of course mommy).

The kids listened while Amanda (Jayden's mom) told them the Easter story of Christ.

Looks like you guys had a really fun easter! The kids got some really cute things. Natalie looks super cute in that little pink and white striped dress at her pre-school Easter party. I love how Blake doesn't let you turn on any lights when her first wakes up. I'm the same way:)
