Every summer we take a trip with the Bells to their houseboat on Lake Don Pedro in California. It's something we always look forward to. I was a little worried this year about Blake now that he is mobile and can disappear in a split second. But we kept the doors closed at all times and everything was fine. He slept like a champ too. Natalie got to sleep up on top under the stars with daddy every night and I slept inside on a big bed with Blake. He thought it was the coolest thing getting to sleep in a big bed with mommy. We played all day and into the evening, making the most of our week there. They had a new tube this year that was perfect for the kids (and the adults).
I did lots of wakeboarding and wakeskating and of course just swimming with the kiddos. Rob is amazing on the wakeboard, but unfortunately I didn't snap any pictures of him this year, dang it.
This year's houseboat trip definitely did not disappoint. The food is always excellent and the company is as well.
Cute Natalie and her cute aunt Chelsea steering the houseboat
ha ha. They were both very enthralled with whatever Natalie was doing on the iPad
For the life of me I could not get Blake to take naps while we were on the house boat. I finally figured out that I just had to take him out in the water and he went out about as fast as you can snap your finger. So everyday for his nap, I'd go out in the water and take a swim for at least an hour so he could get some rest. Funny kid.
We filled a pool on the front deck of the houseboat for the kids. Genius.
Grandma took a shift in the water one day so Blake could nap.

Can you tell how much they love each other?
The tube rides were so fun as long as they weren't too crazy. I think I'm more of a wimp than my kids. It happened when I became a mom.
My two handsome guys.
Blake absolutely loved all the water festivities.

Blake is so cute! I think that is so funny that he falls asleep so easily in the water! What a cutie.
