Freedom Run and Time with my Sis

I woke up at 5 am July 4th so I could make it to my race-the Freedom Run 5k in Provo-and it was so worth it. I got to run it with my beautiful sister Melissa. We stayed together for the first mile and then she told me to go on ahead. I came in 107th out of 2800 people and 2nd in my age category out of 225 people, and received the crystal award. I was so excited to beat my best time! I got 22:20. I felt pretty good until the last stretch to the finish, which was a NASTY hill!! I wanted to die, but I pushed it to the end. I always ask myself why I do it while I'm running and then afterwards it feels so good and I want to do it again. Love you Mel! It was so fun! She did amazing coming in at 25:06.

Don't judge me-I don't wear makeup to races-but Melissa looks beautiful as usual. Behind us you can see the hoards of people whose butts we kicked :) jk

I only got to see my sister Melissa a few times since she just got a new awesome job and works a ton, but we made the most of our time together. Love this girl! We missed our other sis Catherine so much! She lives in Texas now. Wish you could have been there girl!
