Recent Preschool Field Trips and Acitivities

Blake's preschool class had a field trip to the local fire station not long ago.  My sweet boy was in heaven.  He kept telling me afterwards that he wants to be a fireman when he grows up.  It was seriously the best tour ever. The firemen were SO nice and answered all the kids' questions, let them see everything and be rowdy and wild like they do best. :)

They all got cute hats.
Jane wanted to get in on the fun too.
Blake loved sitting at the wheel.

Haha!  I love that Jane's holding a Cinderella Barbie in front of a giant firetruck. :)  The best of both worlds, I guess.
 Blake all suited up.

We had a little preschool Easter egg hunt last week.  It was a small deal, because one of the kids was sick. But it was tons of fun.
Jane thought it was pretty cool gathering eggs with candy inside. :)

Then, this past week, we took a behind-the-scenes tour of Albertson's.  My friend's mom works there, so she put it all together.  It was seriously amazing!  The employees were all so kind and patient and went above and beyond.  The kids got a treasure at every department and learned all about what is done there.  A puppy from the pharmacy.
Fruit snacks from the meat department.
Blake got to use the price scanner (aka big gun).  It was pretty awesome.
The kids got to watch the lady decorate a cake at the bakery.  It was pretty neat how she sprayed on the coloring.  Then we got to eat it, along with cookies.

They also came home with fresh fruit from the produce section, a giant chocolate bunny, and chicken tenders for lunch. They got spoiled!  What a fun field trip!
Possibly the highlight, though, was going being the cashier's stand, scanning items, and printing a receipt.  Future retail worker, right there.  I must admit that I wanted to try it myself.  Just something about the swiping, beeping and bagging that is so satisfying.

We've had so much fun with field trips this year!  Blake's been a lucky boy getting in with such a great group.
