Visit from the Bells

The Bells were so kind to fly in for the long holiday weekend.  We packed as much fun into our three days with them as possible.  The guys (Rob, his dad and brother) went kayaking on Saturday while the ladies stayed back and went to lunch, went bowling, and then of course did some shopping.

Sunday, I got to speak in church-yippee!  And then we just hung out at the house and played games and watched movies.  Then Monday we headed out to Santa Rosa to the Blue Hole and little lake close by the hole.

Our first bowling game was amazingly close!  Sherrie came in first with a score of 112, followed by me at 111 and Chelsea at 110.  We had a blast and that's the best I've bowled in a long time. :)

We pooped the kids out with all our going, going, going.  Notice the Ipad on his lap.  This kid is obsessed with it.  The first thing when I go to get him out of bed each morning is "Ipad."  We need to wean him off it.

These kids are so lucky to have amazing grandparents.  Rob and Sherrie are so fun with the kids.  Grandpa played endless games of "chase" with Blake every spare minute that we were home.  I'm sure he was exhausted by the end of the stay.  Grandpa also read them lots of fun books and Grandma of course spoiled them with more summer clothes and a new fun book from their trip to Boston.

Rob taking the plunge into the cold Blue Hole. (always 62 degrees)

Rob, Scott, Chelsea, and Rob's dad all jumping in at once.

Blake decided to give the water a try.

The water was freezing, but once you were numb, you didn't notice it too much.

The lake also had this fun waterslide that the kids got to go on with grandpa, grandma, Chelsea and Scott.  They wouldn't allow the kids to be held while going down it, so Grandma sent them down alone with someone to catch them at the bottom.  Both Natalie and Blake got turned onto their stomach going backwards while sliding and were completely freaked out by the end.  Blake kept saying "slide, scared!"  Once was enough for them.

Taking a ride in the boat with daddy.

Thanks for coming Bells!  We always have so much fun with you!
