Let me just begin this post with...I AM NOT A CAMPER. I decided to go to appease my husband and only because he promised to bring the queen air mattress and that there were nice bathrooms at the camp site. Other than an on-site masseuse, what more could a girl want out in the wild? We had a very enjoyable evening after we first got there. It was beautiful!
We set up the tent together, went for a short hike, and then the kids played by the river. They could have thrown rocks forever. Daddy even tried to teach Natalie how to skip rocks. We pretty much froze our hind ends off that night, so that wasn't so fun, but after the sun came up the next morning and warmed us, I decided that we would survive this trip after all. I cooked eggs, sausage, and hash browns in a one pot wonder over our propane stove. After enjoying a warm breakfast, we picked up, Rob got his inflatable boats ready, and then his friends met up with us for a day of kayaking. He took Natalie, and Blake (buddy could only handle half a minute without his mommy), down a short section of the river before heading off alone with his friends. This mommy sat it out this time for the unborn baby girl's sake.

Rob all suited up. He was going to be river boarding after kayaking. This requires the crazy person to lay on a board--almost like a boogey board or a big kick board with fins on feet, and kick their way down the (in this case) freezing cold rapids. Sounds like fun, huh? Well Rob thought, and still thinks so.
About 30 seconds after this picture, Blake cried for mommy. Rob pulled over, handed him off to me, and then Blake proceeded to throw a tantrum calling "Daddy!" So I tried to calmly drag him (well not really, but I wanted to at this point) back to the camp site where he threw his fit for another 20 minutes.

What, that innocent looking child could throw a tantrum? I don't believe it. Blake and Natalie look so cute sitting there in that big kayak. That's amazing of you to make breakfast- much better than I would be:)
Haha, I do have to say I was a little confused when I saw the word "camping" on your blog! It looks so pretty and like so much fun (except for the freezing cold and the tantrums, but I guess is can't be perfect, eh? It is camping after all)! I miss you, Christine. You are such a sweet person and I learn so much from you. Love ya.
