Summer Utah Trip

We made the semi-annual trek to Utah to visit the Hales and the Bells, who were at their Park City place at the time.
The car ride was SOOO long, but we made it!
Lincoln loved going on the riding lawn mower with Grandpa Hales
Luke had the magic touch with Lincoln.  He cried for everyone except Luke.  He sat there for about half an hour just watching what Luke was doing.
These cute girls did a fashion show for me one day.  They loved being models.
These kids played so well together.  I loved watching them run around and laugh and dig in the dirt.
Jane loves her cousin Peyton (my brother Bradley's daughter).  It was hard to get them to pose for a pic, because they were always having so much fun playing together.

It was fun to see my pretty sister Melissa again!  We went over to my Aunt Julie and Sharon's house to see their new kitchen.
Another sister and Mom pic.  My sister Priscilla is the blonde one.

Jane always begged Grandma Hales to read to her.
My sister Abby took a turn reading too.
 Uncle Tom is the favorite.
I love our annual tradition of doing the Freedom Run with some of my siblings.  Bradley, Melissa and Priscilla did it this time around.

I love that my kiddos and hubby were there to support me.
In the middle of our trip, we went to Park City to spend some time with Rob's family.

The kids enjoyed hot tubbing with Grandpa Bell after getting back from the cold swimming pool.
For the 4th, We headed down to Heber to a park where all fireworks are legal and lit off some big ones. :)
Rob's brother Michael had a special touch with Lincoln and always put him right to sleep.
We went to the Provo Falls up in the Uintahs for a day and hiked around.

 The falls were gorgeous!

I can't believe I'd never been here, living in Utah most of my life.
Jane and cousin Brandon played really well together.  They were born just a few minutes apart.
We swam at the community pool and the kids played tennis one morning.  Aunt Kym gave them some lessons.
We went back to Santaquin just in time to celebrate my sisters Emmy and Alice's birthdays.  I put together some little yard water games to start off the day for Emmy's birthday, then we went swimming in the afternoon and had pizza and cake and ice cream later in the evening.
Luke poured buckets of water on the kids during their water fight and they were all really good sports about it.
Yummy Chocolate Mint Cake for the cute eight year old birthday girl!
Jane and cousin Peyton.  Love their "smiles".
 Jane and aunt Lucy
One day, my mom, sister Melissa and sister-in-law Jessica and I went shopping and then to See's candies to get some good stuff and then to Costa Vida for lunch.  Loads of fun!
Natalie and her aunt Alice are such great friends.
The kids loved playing in the yard in the cool evening.
Grandpa Hales got out the sparklers one evening since we missed celebrating with the on the 4th.

Then a day after Emmy's birthday we got to celebrate Alice's birthday.  We went to play at the park in the morning, then to see The BFG in theaters and then had her favorite casserole for dinner and St. Patrick's Day Cupcakes for dessert.
Lincoln was not happy, but the kids loved seeing their grandparents!  We're sad that we don't live close to them.
Lincoln was a trooper for our trip home.  He really only fussed a little bit.  But that was with me sitting in the seat next to him handing him snacks and toys the entire time. :)
