Jane's 2nd Birthday!

We got to Grandma and Grandpa Bell's house a few days before Jane's birthday.  Grandma rented a bounce house for the kids.  It was fun to see their cousins who live there in Tulare too.

 Jane had a blast bouncing.
She and her cousin Brandon (born just 2 minutes apart) played really well together.
Kym (Brandon's mom) made this adorable Nemo cake for the two babies' birthdays.  It was almost too cute to eat.
Blake pooped out like this the one day.  It's amazing the positions kids can sleep in.
Jane got to open her presents a day early because we drove to Disneyland the evening of her real birthday.
She got lots of princess books, an Ariel doll and three princess sing along movies.
 She was in heaven.
Then we got to watch the babies try to blow out their candles.  It was highly entertaining.
Here's my sweet Jane on her 2nd birthday.  I didn't get a chance to write her birthday letter, so I'll do it in shortened form.

We sure love this little girl.  She brings us so much joy.  She's got a fiery personality, but she can be the cuddliest, tenderest little girl too.  She picks on her brother a lot.  She knows exactly which buttons to press.  But she is such a happy girl.  It's a rare occasion if she wakes up grumpy in the morning or from her nap.  I love going in her room first thing in the morning to see her cute smile and she always yells "Mama!" so excitedly.  It's by far the highlight of my day.

She LOVES books.  Actually she's obsessed with them.  She brings them to me all day and says "read".  Princess everything is her favorite.,,jammies, movies, plates, cups, jackets...she's got it all.  Ariel is her favorite though.  More often than not, if we're reading a princess book, it's Little Mermaid.  She loves her princess sing along movies.  She loves to eat cottage cheese.  In fact, I can't get her to eat much else.  She enjoys teasing mom and dad by calling us the wrong names, like she'll point to me and say "Dadda!" with a smirk on her face.  It's cute.  She loves to do everything that brother and sister do.  Sometimes they lock the door on her because she ruins their creations or toy setups, but she so admires them and wants to be like them.  She usually takes great naps.

She definitely has a mind of her own and can be very stubborn at times.  She still needs to learn to share with brother and sister, although if she wants something of theirs, she will scream and throw a fit until they give in and give it to her.  She knows how to work the system.

She's like her Mama and enjoys chocolate a little too much.  In fact, I have to sneak it so she doesn't see it, and even then she usually smells it on my breath and asks for it.

She's already very interested in makeup and looking cute.  When I sit down each morning to put my makeup on, she runs up and sits on my lap, then starts rummaging through my makeup drawers to find my lip gloss.  She has to put on every kind and color.  She likes to me do her hair all pretty each day and she insists on choosing her own outfit.  She always tells me, "Choose!"  She then struts around and models for everyone so we can admire how beautiful she looks.

She was very good about going to nursery until Rob and I had to substitute one Sunday about two months ago.  Since then, she cries a little when we drop her off, but she always comes out with a huge grin on her faces and says "bubbles!"  Bubbles are the highlight of her nursery experience.

We love you Jane, and are so glad you are a part of our family.
