We've been busy, busy having fun this summer. The kids did a session of swimming lessons for the first two weeks. Then all this happened...
We went to the Explora Science Museum with some friends. Jane loved making music.
The kids using their instruments.
Blake got a new Sulley mask (a super clearanced item at ToysRus). He's so excited about it.
These Watermelon Cookies are a summer treat tradition. The kids love helping me make them and they are SO yummy!
We've spent a lot of time at the splash park.
Water fun in the back yard. I love to see the kids playing well together.
We went with some friends, the McMurtreys, to Durango, Colorado and stayed at Brian's parent's house who are on a mission. Rob and Brian kayaked the crazy river there and ended up going for a scary swim in the raging rapids. The river was the highest it's been in a long time. The rest of us waited at the park where they would take out. We had a picnic and let the kids play. We thought we'd be waiting a while for the guys, but they made it down fast.
Taking a look at the crazy river.
We went on a hike around the house because their property butts up against national forest land. The kids caught a horny toad while out. Natalie loved holding it and playing with it.
Our friends the Grovers invited us over for a barbecue one Sunday evening.
We bought season passes to Cliff's, a local amusement park, so we've been going there once a week. Here's Natalie and me right before going on the Rattler roller coaster.
The kids went to some friends' (the Barnes) birthday party at Albuquerque Jump. They had a blast.
Rob had a great Father's Day. We gave him some special gaming headphones that he wanted. These kids adore their dad.
The kids love playing in their puppy sprinkler.
We went to the Botanical Gardens and butterfly house with some friends, the Grovers and Johnsons. These kids all played together so well.
More water fights in the back yard.
