I've had a very busy past month prepping for new carpet and paint. It was basically like moving, almost. I had to pack up the closets, get everything off the shelves and floor. It was a great opportunity to organize and de-junk, though. It was rather addicting, actually.
Then I had a great time trying to keep the kids out of the installers' way-2 days for paint and 2 for carpet.
I took the kids to McDonald's for lunch one day and we stayed and played at the PlayPlace for a while. Blake got sick the next day and was throwing up, like the kids always do when we go there. I swear we won't go back again. If I ever say I'm going to, don't let me.
But it was all so worth it, because look! I wanted a khaki color of paint that wouldn't look pink in any light, so this is what we went with. It's Raffia Ribbon by Behr. The carpet we chose is a salt and pepper darker brown color. It's wonderfully plush and soft! It's amazing the difference! This is the back living room.
Dining area. We kept our green accent wall because I love it.
We absolutely love how it turned out! It's like a whole new house! We had a tile in the entryway here that was cracked and we couldn't purchase more because they don't sell our variety anymore. So they cut the tile and tore a few out, then added carpet.

I LOVE the carpet and paint! It looks so good. And your kids are the cutest. I think that V-day pic of them is so sweet.
I love that paint color, and your carpet looks so soft. I love the carpet too. It looks very nice.
