I've got a lot of catching up to do, so here it goes! A lot of these pictures are from Instagram on my phone so the quality's not as good, but that's usually all I have with me when we're out and about, so these will have to suffice.
Daddy set up the tent and let the kids "camp out" for a few nights in the living room because it was too cold outside.
We've made our zoo/gardens pass more than worth it. Here's Natalie and Blake on a giant ant at the gardens.
In the giant pumpkin at the gardens. Blake has such a fun, silly personality. He's such a little character.
At the aquarium.
Like I've said before, this kid falls asleep in the most random places. I need to make a collage of them one day. This was during sacrament meeting in the gym overflow before our ward split.
Lots of playing in the pool, which soon after this picture, cracked.
Natalie's first time sweeping the floor, and certainly not the last. It's like pulling teeth to get this girl to do chores.
We finally found a fun pool here...just in time for it to close. But we'll be sure to head back next summer.
Jane had a great time swimming too.
Blake got a new Spiderman costume, along with gloves, which he wears quite often.
This is how Jane eats rice. Such a mess, but it's worth it to see her experimenting with foods, unlike my other kids.
I can't get mad at that sweet face.
Jane is my little daredevil climber. I have to keep a constant watch on her. She's pretty stable, though.
These sisters have such a sweet connection. Natalie was reading to her here.
I always drop Natalie off at school in the morning and let the kids play before the bell rings and a little after too. Jane always climbs all over the kids' playground. She thinks she's so big.
Daddy tickles. A perfect Sunday activity.
I got to participate in the Blacklight 5k Run at Balloon Fiesta Park with my friend Ann Clements. It was a "fun run", so they didn't technically keep track of our times, but I heard the DJ say that I came in at 20 minutes when I crossed the line...a personal best. There were stations at each mile marker where we got glow-in-the-dark powder thrown on us. Then we all got powder packets afterwards and crowded in close together and threw them up. It was so fun.
We took a family Labor Day hike. It was hot and Blake whined and complained the entire time. Memories!
I got called as the 2nd counselor in the relief society presidency in our new ward over activities. I got put in charge of all the food at the Super Saturday last weekend, so my Friday night consisted of making 80 sandwiches.
I was at a friend's Scentsy party a little over a week ago and Blake got pushed off the trampoline by a little boy that was there. Rob had taken Natalie to the daddy/daughter campout that night, so I let Blake sleep in my bed. He tossed and turned and groaned the entire night. But then he woke up the next day and played like normal, so I thought he was ok. But he kept saying every once in a while that his arm hurt, so Rob went ahead and took him into urgent care Sunday morning because we were leaving the next morning for Disneyland. Sure enough-it was broken. Poor boy! They called it a compression or "buckle" fracture. He'll get his cast on tomorrow. He's already told me that he's going to get a blue one.
