Grateful

Since this is the month of expressing gratitude for the many things we have in our lives, I wanted to say that my life is so blessed.

I love my family.  I have great friends.  We have food on the table and clothes on our backs, a roof over our heads.  We have vehicles to get us where we need to go.  I'm thankful for heat in my home, as the weather has gotten a lot cooler here lately. I'm so thankful for health-both for me, my husband, and children.

But there are two things that I know I take for granted and that I have missed having the use of lately...and those are my feet.  I'm so thankful to have feet and for the ability to walk.  I know it sounds really weird, so let me explain.

Between three trips to the podiatrist in the last three weeks, my once easy mobility has been reduced to limping and hobbling.  Right now I'm wishing we had opted for a single floor home, though I love our two story house.

I had a big growth cut out of my left foot and then today I was given a cortisone shot in my right foot for a pinched nerve that brought a bump on the ball of my foot and was causing my toes to fan out.

Needless to say, I am thankful for feet, and I won't take them for granted again.  And I'll also be thankful when I can quit wearing tennis shoes and get back in my cute Fall boots. :)

Oh man, I'm so sorry about your feet. That is no fun at all. I think you should have cropped my ginormous legs out of that picture of me with Jane on the couch:) Haha wow, my legs are long. I love the little crafts you made, those are really cute!
