Sea World is amazing! The shows are definitely the highlight, although the animal exhibits are fun to look at too.
They had a pool full of starfish that people could touch, just so long as you kept them in the water so they could breathe. It was pretty neat-they were pretty soft and would curl up when you touched them.
I love penguins-cute little men in tuxedos. I was excited to hear that our zoo will be getting them soon.
The sea lion show. They did some pretty cool tricks, but this was actually towards the bottom of our list of favorite shows there.
Rob and I waiting to watch the new dolphin show.
This was the new Blue Horizon dolphin show. It was incredible-definitely our fav. The trainers balanced on the nose of the dolphins while they swam around the pool. There were also acrobats doing tricks over the water and high divers.
This was the Shamu show. We sat in the "soak zone", but got lucky and stayed dry amazingly. We picked the right section, I guess. This killer whale doesn't look very big from the picture, but he's huge-especially when you see him right next to his trainer. The biggest one they had was about 12,000 pounds. The trainers did not get in the water due to the incident at Sea World Florida.
Rob was able to get pretty close to the cute white bird.
Drive-by pic of the beautiful San Diego temple.
