We had a long, but very fun Christmas break this year. We spent time in so many different places - Rob's parent's house, my parent's house, Rob's parent's Park City house, and hotels- it was crazy.
Natalie opened her presents from her mom and dad (a dollhouse and the Polar Express book) on December 23rd, since we flew out to Grandma and Grandpa Bell's house on Christmas Eve. She was so sad that we had to leave our house the next morning. She kept asking to play with her dollhouse.
We spent Christmas Eve and Christmas with Rob's family in California. Soon after our flight landed, we went to dinner with Rob's family and some friends. Then we went home and opened our new pajamas and presents from each other. We were spoiled rotten as usual. Natalie got a pink snow coat, clothes, and a big, soft Disney Princess blanket from Grandma and Grandpa Bell. Rob got a new ski jacket and clothes from his parents and new ski boots from me. I got an ipod nano and some clothes from Rob's parents and a new violin from Rob :), which I am so excited about. We got lots of fun new games for the family also.
Christmas morning we woke up early to find that Santa had come. Natalie was so excited about her "Nemo's dadda" (Marlin), Squirt (the baby turtle from Nemo), earrings, movies, princess dressup set, Cinderella barbie and pony, and books. I think she was a little overwhelmed, because she took a few hours to open all of her presents. After she opened the presents that she had actually asked for from Santa (Nemo's dadda and earrings), we had to convince her to open the rest.
We spent most of Christmas day in our pajamas lounging, laughing, eating and enjoying our new things. We ate a yummy Christmas dinner with some of Rob's family friends.
A few days later, we picked up and drove out to Utah for our annual ski vacation with the Bells. I spent a few days with my family (I decided not to ski this year due to being six months pregnant), while the ski vacation began for the Bells in Park City. I had a great time playing my new violin while my mom accompanied me on the piano. I was with my family for New Year's Eve. We made lots of yummy food, watched a movie and then went to bed early :) Then I joined the Bells in Park City the day after New Year's, where Natalie and I got to spend some relaxing days watching movies, playing in the snow, reading books, and shopping at the outlets.
Rob had a great time skiing and skiing and skiing with his family, and we got to enjoy some yummy Park City food.
We spent our last night with my family. I had to say goodbye to my brother Joseph for two years, who will be leaving for his mission in Brazil in the beginning of February. It was hard to say goodbye, but I know he will make a great missionary.
We had a great vacation, but it's always nice to get back to "home sweet home".
