The other day, Natalie asked for some noodles for lunch (I had made pasta the night before). And yes she actually asked for food, which is probably a first for her. After I gave it to her, she took a bite and said "Mmmm......It's delicious!" It was too cute. And then she kept saying it with every bite she took. It's fun to have a little talker around the house. She really picks up on everything we say and do. It's kind of scary.
About a day later, Natalie asked for a cup of water. I gave it to her and said, "Please don't spill". She responded with, "Mommy will be angry". I laughed, but then I thought to myself that I hope she doesn't think that I am a mean, angry person. I think I just threaten it a little too much.
She loves to read herself books. It's so fun to watch her turning the pages and telling herself the stories that I have read her. She has a really good memory and knows a lot of her letters and numbers too. She's also very particular about staying clean. Anytime she gets crumbs on her hands or any kind of mess on them, she cries and asks to be washed.
She still doesn't play much with dolls. She just loves her stuffed animals. Each night before bed, she gets a few of her "friends" to keep her company while she sleeps. She still has a special place in her heart for Po and bunny, even though she now has so many other animals to play with.
She also has an obsession for bugs and mice or "ewes" as we call them. She likes to look for them outside. When she sees one, she just keeps saying "ewe gross, ewe gross". She has the Mercer Meyer books, which have a mouse on each page. When we read them, she just likes to find the mouse and say "ewe gross".
Natalie said her first prayer a few weeks ago. We were ready to bless dinner and she asked to pray. Daddy helped her, and she did so good! She even folded her arms and closed her eyes the whole time and said "amen" at the end.
I call her "Miss Natalie" sometimes as a pet name. Now whenever I pull out the laptop, she asks to see pictures of "Miss Natalie" on our blog.
She's still a very early riser, but she usually takes good naps. And she's usually a pretty happy girl, even with getting up so early, so I can't complain too much.
She makes us laugh everyday and we're so glad to have her in our family.
