This past weekend, Rob's family came to visit us. Natalie got sick, but we were still able to do some really fun things together. It was so nice to have them here. We were sad to see them go.
Saturday, the guys (except for Rob's little brother Scott) went kayaking. The rest of us went to the Explora Museum after watching the Saturday morning session of conference. The kids really enjoyed it. Then we went out to California Pizza Kitchen for dinner.
Sunday morning I took Natalie into Urgent Care because she was very sick. She had pink eye, an ear infection and a horrible cough that made her throw up. I got some medication for her and she was much better the next day. After watching the Sunday session of general conference, we left for the Carlsbad Caverns. The drive was a lot longer than we anticipated (4.5 hours), but Natalie was a little gem despite being sick.
We spent all day Monday at the amazing Carlsbad Caverns. We went on a Ranger-Guided and a self-guided tour. We loved seeing all the different formations that have come over millions of years. Nature is amazing! My favorite was the Queen's Palace.
We got back late Monday night from the Caverns. Tuesday we went to the new Atomic Museum here that just opened a few days ago. It was pretty interesting. We had a very fun-filled, busy weekend. We were glad they came to visit.
This is Natalie's early birthday present from her Grandpa and Grandma Bell
You know she likes it because she was playing with it while she was very sick. I knew it would be a hit because it has buttons with sounds.
