I can't believe summer break is over. It whizzed by and was filled with lots of fun! Natalie is in the fourth grade this year and Blake is in first. Natalie's teacher is Mrs. Gist and Blake's is Mrs. Simone. So far they are really loving their teachers and being back with their friends, but still complain about how long and "boring" it is. I think they'd just much rather be home playing than working at school. But overall they are off to a good start.
We're still getting used to the crazy morning routine of getting everyone ready, lunches packed and out the door by 7:40 am, but I'm glad their school starts at 8 because then they're home at 2:45 with spare time to play!
They were a little nervous on their first day, but Rob gave them some really nice father's blessings the night before and I walked them to their classrooms that first morning. They came home with smiles, so I think that means it was a good day!
Blake is obsessed with bow ties right now, thanks to Dr. Who, so he sported his bow tie on the first day back and pulled it off amazingly well, if I may say. :)
