Blake's Third Birthday

Blake's birthday landed on a Sunday this year, so we mainly celebrated the day before.  Rob was sick, so I took the kids to Chuck E Cheese by myself.  Brave...I know.  But we had a blast!

Then on his real birthday he woke up and opened presents and played with them until it was time for church. We made sure to sing Happy Birthday to him in nursery.  He wouldn't have had it any other way.  :)  He kept saying, "It's my birthday! I'm three! Let's sing the song!"

He was beyond excited to see this Spiderman bike from Mommy and Daddy waiting for him when he woke up.

We also gave him a Spiderman action figure and the movie Puss in Boots, which he requested.

He got a Batman costume, with gloves and bat wings to throw, and batman pajamas from Grandpa and Grandma Bell...

...and this fantastic Spiderman costume.  He was spoiled rotten!  So fun.

The kids played dress-up together all day.  Blake kept switching between costumes (with the aid of his mom)...it made for one tired mama by the end of the day!  And he was learning to pedal his new bike all day, so mommy pushed him around the house while he got the hang of it.  It just might be a good thing that birthdays only come around once a year.  They are so fun, but so exhausting!  Love them though.

The kids don't really like cake, so I asked Blake what treat he wanted, and he immediately said cookies, so I made a giant chocolate chip cookie.  It was a hit.

We love our Blakey boy!
